As of April 1st, 2008, the Media Network for a Smoke-Free Ontario (Media Network) merged to become part of PTCC.

The Media Network is a unique program that was established in 2000 under the Ontario Tobacco Strategy to increase positive media coverage around tobacco control issues at local and provincial levels. The program provides public relations expertise and knowledge exchange to tobacco control practitioners in Ontario.

Funded by the Government of Ontario and administered by CCO, the Media Network now has over 800 members who work or volunteer in tobacco control.

By joining the Media Network, you will receive regular updates on current events, policy and legislative developments, and support materials. Members will be invited to participate, at their discretion, in specific media campaigns and register for PTCC workshops. Members will also have full access to our website.  In return, members are expected to inform us of their relationship with the media and tobacco control. We also ask that members advise us of any tobacco-related events in their community, share experiences, and accept to be included in our distribution database.

The Media Network reserves the right to refuse membership to applicants, exclude or suspend access to the Network without notice in the event that you use the Network for unlawful or improper purpose.
